Meet Our New Teacher!

My name is Rhonda Woodsmall. We live in Iowa in the Midwest. I learned to do crewel when I was 18 and experimented with embroidery designs over the next few years. I taught small embroidery projects to people in home parties. I learned a lot of different types of hand sewing. I have been quilting since 1980. I like embroidery but quilting with traditional designs is my first love. Most of my work is now in miniature quilt gift items. I don't have the patience or the time for big quilts. Miniatures let me do a lot!! of different designs.

For the last 10 years I have been selling to a local gift shop. I have been making miniature quilt gift items for about 15 years. I taught quilt lessons in my home for awhile and now I have two websites. One is a teaching site and one is an online store.

I love designing and developing new piecing methods. I am always looking for new inspirations and new ideas.

Rhonda's upcoming class is called A Trio of Patchwork Gifts.
