Machine Quilting - Master the Basics by Nadine Ruggles
Take the first steps in machine quilting with this comprehensive beginning class. Class is presented in exercise format, and introduces students to machine guided and free motion quilting, including stitch in the ditch, continuous line designs, grids, stippling and meandering, echo quilting and other background patterns. A thorough discussion of supplies and tools, materials, marking tools, quilting order and basting techniques is also presented.
  Students will learn about and absorb the 7 Keystones of Successful Machine Quilting, and the 7 Keystones of Successful Free Motion Quilting, the basic building blocks for machine quilting mastery. Students are guided step by step through important techniques including anchoring quilting lines, following marked free motion designs, and developing a consistent stitch length.
