Quilted Portraits by Therese May

Make a wonderful fantasy portrait quilt!! Start with a very simple drawing of a face (like kindergarten!!!) on an 8 inch square paper. This will be repeated 16 times using a basic machine appliqué technique. We will be using fusible interfacing to anchor the pieces. It will be similar to putting a jig-saw puzzle together 16 times!! (But we will be using fabric) Then we will use the satin stitch on the sewing machine for the appliqué. You can finish your quilt with buttons for the eyes, etc. This will be a workshop dealing with a specific quilt making technique which can be followed like a recipe.

You will have a completed quilt top by the end of the workshop.
